Some Individual Salsa Dancing.

Jessica and Joseph dancing at homecoming dance.

Salsa Demo @ Sandy Creek Central Homecoming Dance

Fun was had by all, doing the demo for the school's homecoming dance. Our high school students that danced with our group included: Joseph Felo(Senior), Francheska Felo(Sophmore), Gary Mullin(Senior). This demo was done to show the High School students peers, how they have been dancing over the past year.

The other dancers included: Jessica Trumble, Linda Wart, Barbara Paganelli, Shelley Stubbs, and The Salsa Master(Roberto).

The students and faculty of Sandy Creek enjoyed the dance demo.
We also like to dance in October to celebrate and create awareness of Spanish Heritage month.

Thank-you to all our dancers for the great job, Shelley

A few more pictures of the Salsa Class.

Here are a few more pictures from the third week of the class. We have some action shots. Students are concentrating, but smiling at the sametime. The music is good and so is the dance.

Look at the Smiling faces during Salsa Class!

A good time is had by all the students. We are in the third week of our classes, and the students are progressing very well. In our classes, we mix Partnering and Rueda De Casino( Salsa Wheel). We have students of all ages and all levels of experience. We will start our next 6 week series on Tuesday October 23.

Salsa Dancing Back After Storm Week.

Salsa students were back on the dance floor Tuesday night. It seemed great to see everyone, and they were happy to be back learning some new moves. Both groups were doing so well, especially after being off for the previous week.
Thursday night's group also did well and were excited to be back dancing and learning new moves.

Level I Moves-
Ni-Pa-Mi-Ni-Pati- Not for you/Not for me. Clapping of hands. Old partner, self, new partner. Abajo- Going down, Ariba- Going up
Chevarria- Knees
Adios- Ballroom, Goodbye
Allamonde- Old partner, New Partner, back to original partner. (Elbow to Elbow)

Level II-(Enchufle-Pelota con dos)-Do enchufle move, stomp twice, clap twice, then pick up next person. Suenula- There are different variations of this call. Stomping of inside foot. (Fly, Single Clap); Fly Doble,(Double Clap). Photo.Adios- Ballroom, Goodbye
Moves that are listed from Level I, are also in Level II's repertoire.

Level III-Siete- Cuddle her in, send her back out.
Hecho-Turn follower under leader's arm to the other side of leader, change hand work, then finish move with a Dile Que No(Cross Body Lead).
Enchufle Con Jiro-This is where the leaders get to show off a little. Do an Enchufle, then leaders do a spin before they pick up the next follower.

There are hundreds of moves in Rueda De Casino, and we are just touching the surface with each group. As our groups progress, we will be showing more videos on youtube, so stay tuned.
See you on the dance floor. Be well and keep dancing, Shelley

Hello, my name is Shelley. I love to dance salsa. I love this style of dance so much that I have coordinated a few classes to teach salsa dancing in my area.
